Blood Riches

To walk among gypsies is a gift; some would say a rift in fortune. Gypsies are the poorest of the races among europe and still some would have a pleasure to know one here within the US. To walk among a Roma is an entirely different story; to say they are poor would not be the standard among their ranks. So what truly ranks as a gypsy?

As popular as it seems, not all Gypsies are Gypsies, some reign from a long line of mixed -bloodlines. When I say, "mixed" I mean, one bloodline mixes with a non-relative bloodline with that mixture comes a love child. Mostly those love children are raised within the Gypsy tribe and see themselves as Gypsy, not anything more. Roma are a different breed of traveler.

The term Gypsy itself means, traveler, however to a tribe of Romani "Royals" as it is said to be a disgrace to be called such a name. Most Roma or Romani are insulted by the name, Gugi. None of the common so called "Gypsy" speak řomani čhib. The language is dying out as well as the true Roma, mostly clans or tribes find outsiders and create love children. Raising them with old ways and new ways, losing the old traditions entirely. A Gypsy or Gugi will never have ALL skills of mystery because of the dilution of the blood, or so believed in our society. Our true magic lays within our blood and our elders know this, meaning they true desperately to keep our blood pure. To A True Roma, BLOODLINES are most important and any Gypsy who says differently is sorely mistaken and have been most definitely banished from their tribe.

In a Roma household, outsiders are considered breeders and not worthy of touching if only to create a love child. Breeders are just that for breeding, most Americans enjoy a good night with several women or men of a clan telling fortunes and such. No Breeder is worthy of marriage to a Roma or they are expelled from the tribe.

Roma marry Roma. Unfortunately, more and more are marrying outside of the tribe; outside of the arrangement. With each new year brings more decline of the race, more tainted blood who cannot hear the magic nor the mystery of the otherside.

We have to let go of our youth and have our secrets buried with us. As Grandmothers bury sisters with their secrets; I will surely be buried with mine. Loving our children's free will, is going to forever bury the Roma ways. Who are we to give up love for formaty? Out cases from birth, our secrets have never been welcomed in public view. I gladly place my secrets away for a happily fulfilled life with my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. This choice is made among family; as new age becomes formality older ways are more revoked. The magic will end with my line of offspring; as our tribe has all but departed I surely know I am the last.

The bloodlines here in the States are very diluted; to find a True Blood also known as Black Blood the royals noted by their white blond hair and changing eyes. Like the changing chameleons a Black Blood hair will become whiter in the rays of the sun; their eyes are blue/green changing with their mood. Only a hand full of Black Bloods still exist and most of them are living in Romania. To most Europeans, they are rubbish and treated with low regard.  However, they do have a hierarchy among the tribes or within them highly respected; they live like kings and queens among the lower tribes. These highly recognized beings are well marked, but not by their looks alone more by their abilities; they stand singled out. They never really have the need to touch, pull tarot or even ask questions. Truly walking oracles, living among nature, surround themselves with animals and don't need the outside world. Commonly seeked out for storie, fortune telling, or articles like this one, never minding to share their own life experiences. A peaceful place without chaos or echos of intimacy, connecting to Gaia or the old ones or even god himself and sustaining the life that was meant to be for them.
